A visit to Jeff King's Husky Homestead in Denali National Park. A great excursion.

You get to hold a puppy when you arrive. They do this to socialize the pups.

They count the puppies when you leave! Great fun, though.

The dogs "pull" an ATV in the off season, they really enjoy it.

Along the Tundra Wilderness Tour. It rained most of the trip, but it was a wonderful trip.

A braided river in Denali. The flow changes daily, depending on the rainfall and temperature. Some days the river is raging, some days there is barely any water.

June 21 in Fairbanks, Midnight Sun Festival, with a midnight baseball game, fun run, good food and crafts.

The buses we rode on to Prudhoe Bay. They use older buses, they seem better able to stand the trip. The Dalton Highway is only paved for short distances, it
is mostly gravel on dirt. Great trip.

Joy, Alaska, our first stop on our trip to Prudhoe Bay. It's one family - with lots of kids. They run a store.

The adventure begins.

The only bridge over the Yukon River, a very long and wide river. The bridge carries the oil pipeline over the river, too.

The Hot Spot Cafe. About 5 miles beyond the bridge. The biggers burgers ever, and very good. It's just a wide spot in the road. Not much traffic - mostly trucks and a tour bus now and then. Very good service.

Annie and Barb on the Artic Circle. It was really cold, and very cool.

There were fires along the road, some fairly close. A few wore masks on the bus when the smoke got really thick. The next year after the fires, morels grow, and it's a good cottage industry, picking and selling them.
