Peninsula with drawers and cabinets. In order to have a seating area, the cabinets and drawers on the end are only about 9" deep. I thought that would be a problem, but it turns out they are perfect for storing pots and pans and small appliances like the mini processor, hand mixer, and Handy Mixer.
